FRENTLY CITY
The challenge
In 2022, there is a lack of an estimated 27,000 student rooms in The Netherlands. Several Dutch universities have even urged admitted international students not to come to The Netherlands if they have not found student housing before the start of the academic year 2022-2023. With the increase of in-person lectures after loosening COVID-19 restrictions and a persisting housing crisis in The Netherlands, an innovative way is needed to accommodate students in student cities.
The solution
FRENTLY CITY is a web-based platform that connects (prospective) students to under-occupied rooms left mostly unused by individuals who have left their parents' house to live elsewhere. As a platform, we ensure that we arrange the paperwork, do the promotion, and facilitate the matching process.
“We create happiness by connecting students to under-occupied rooms in friendly neighborhoods."
