The challenge

64% of university students have reported feeling lonely when moving to a new environment for their studies. The social and relational struggles that young people face nowadays impacts not only their mental health but also their academic and professional performance. Despite the solutions provided by their university, workplace or the online platforms such as Tinder, Bumble or MeetUp it still seems difficult for some of them to create genuine and human connections and integrate the youth community.

The solution

Twinkle is an app for students and young people under 26 that uses a psychology-based matchmaking system. Twinkle uses a matching system based on the MBTI ( Myers–Briggs Type Indicator) personality type. The MBTI personality type is defined by 4 factors : the openness, the intuition, the decision-making and the perception of the users. Once the personality type is defined, the algorithm matches them with people that have a compatible personality type.
