The challenge

Food allergies cannot be cured. The treatment consists of leaving out the ingredients that cause symptoms. Dealing with food allergies requires you to always check the entire ingredient list of each product and learn which labels on the packaging may indicate allergen-derived products which can cause an allergic reaction. The same applies to food restrictions and fear of food.

The solution

We want to create an app called Yummy. The application will assist the user with choosing the right products while grocery shopping. How does the app work? First, you download the app and make a profile according to your food restrictions. Then the app will assist you in finding the best-suited product in the most efficient way. The app will show you if the product contains ingredients you can or cannot consume. See the pictures for how the Yummy app will look.
